I'm interested in upgrading my Apple router to the latest AirPort Extreme Base Station, which supports 802.11ac, however I'm wondering if this might adversely affect the wifi connection/speed of my 2009 Mac Pro.
I'm sure 802.11ac will improve my iPhone 6's wifi connection at home, but I remember an Apple employee once mentioning that an 802.11ac router might slow my Mac Pro's wifi connection in that it would prioritize 802.11ac-supporting devices.
