Preferences Error: There was an error in Network preferences

Hello! I have my hackintosh finally up and running with macOS High Sierra 10.13.1 but I cannot seem to get my ethernet working. I go into System Preferences, hit Network, and hit the (+) to set up a service and it immediately gives me the error:
Preferences Error: There was an error in Network preferences
I am injecting my ethernet kext but still nothing is working. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
