Trying to use this card which I was told (not here) works "OOB." The machine won't boot with it installed; it gets part way through the loading bar then stops booting. Monitors are black and I can't ping the machine. I've tried the card in the 8x and 4x slots, no change. I've also tried the kext patches I've found, no change. Remove the card and I'm back to normal.
The card functions as expected in my Windows machine, so it's not at fault.
I now know there can be issues getting this card...
